Prof. Ashraf Sewelam - Vice President for Post Graduate Studies and Research, Prof./ Ashraf Abdel Basset - Vice President for Education and Student affairs, organized a meeting in the 14th of January
with the Organizing Committee of The international Mansoura University conference "scientific research and technological innovation" in order to discuss the details of the conference organized by the Post Graduate Studies and Research sector during the period from 7 to 9 March, 2017 under the patronage of Prof. Dr. / Mohammed Kenawy - Head of the University
The Conference will be held as part of the university's strategy to show the importance of developing the scientific research, increasing the international cooperation and the importance of striving toward the direction of technological innovation in various fields of scientific research.
Prof. Ashraf Sewelam assured on the need to direct our scientific research towards finding scientific solutions to national challenges and not only finding the best use of available resources effectively but also commercialize the outputs.
The conference aims at
1- Assessing the current situation of scientific research, to identify the sources of funding for scientific research
2- How to market the applied scientific research
3- The development of scientific research in the light of local, regional and global needs
4- Encourage scientific talent to conduct innovative research
5- Supply researchers with the latest knowledge and modern technology sources.
The conference will discuss many topics, including

The cultural Affairs and Mission Sector declares the Mohammed Bin Rashid Award, an initiative of Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktom Global initiatives.
The applications are stared to receive from December 18, 2016 until January 31, 2017.
The goal of the Arabic award is to advance the development of Arabic language; to facilitate learning and teaching, in addition to strengthening the status of Arabic language and to encourage those who are working in the field.
The award contains 5 different categories which are Education, Technology, Media and Communication, Linguistic Policies and Arabization, and the Knowledge Society. There are 11 different sub-categories under 5 main categories. The winner of sub- categories will be awarded 70,000 dollars.

The following Master of Science degree courses are being offered in English for the 2017-2018 Academic Year:

Courses will be offered provided the minimum number of students is reached.
The scholarship will cover:
application and tuition fees throughout the study period with basic books and notes;
All of the above mentioned costs are financed by the Hungarian Government, according to the Agreement between FAO and Hungary in 2007.
The scholarship covers student costs only; family members are not supported within the frame of this programme.
Residents (who must be nationals) of the following countries) are eligible to apply for the Scholarship Programme:
Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Macedonia, Madagascar, Mali, Myanmar, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Namibia, Nigeria, North-Korea, Palestine, the Philippines, Serbia, Somalia, South-Sudan, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
Application and selection process
The selection process as described below applies to scholarships beginning in September 2017.
Student selection will take place in two phases:
Phase 1: FAO will pre-screen candidates and submit applications to the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary that will send them to the corresponding University as chosen by theapplicants. Students must submit only COMPLETED dossiers. Incomplete dossiers will not be considered. Files without names will not be processed.
Phase 2: Selected candidates may be asked to take a written or oral English examination as part of the admission procedure. The participating Universities will run a further selection process and inform each of the successful candidates. Student selection will be made by the Universities only, without any involvement on the part of FAO. Selected students will also be notified by the Ministry.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the following criteria:
Citizenship and residency of one of the eligible countries
Excellent school achievements
English language proficiency (for courses taught in English)
Age (candidates under 30 are preferred)
Interested applicants should prepare a dossier to be sent by e-mail consisting of:
Application form duly completed
A recent curriculum vitae
A copy of high school/college diploma and transcript/report of study or copy of the diploma attachment
A copy of certificate of proficiency in English
Copies of relevant pages of passport showing expiration date and passport number
A letter of recommendation
Statement of motivation
Health Certificate issued by Medical Doctor
Certificate of Good Conduct issued by local police authority.
All submitted documents must be in English. Documents submitted in any other language will not be accepted. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that documents are duly translated and certified by a competent office; and that each document is saved with a name that identifies what it is.

04 January 2017 and 28 February 2017
Paper copies of dossiers received by post or courier or any other way, will not be taken into consideration.
As the number of scholarships is limited, interested applicants are strongly encouraged to E-MAIL their applications as soon as possible.
Applicants who were not selected in previous years may re-apply to the 2017-2018 Programme. These applicants will have to submit the complete dossier once again (by e-mail only).
Please note that the duration of the scholarship cannot be extended or postponed.
A Scholarship Study Contract will be signed between the selected student and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary (MoAH), which is the donor of the program, at the time of first semester registration.
Applicants wishing to explore external funding opportunities to cover the travel costs may do so at their own initiative. However, in view of the length of the process, applicants wishing to apply for 2017 scholarships are strongly encouraged to E-MAIL their application while they endeavour to identify funds or pending confirmation that such funds will be granted.

Under patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam Elwakeel , dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Salah Hegazy, head of removable prosthodontics dept. and Prof. Dr. Shaza Hammad, head of CDE unit, a scientific day was organized at department of removable prosthodontics. International and Egyptian PG students had the opportunity to give presentations to an audience of staff members, PG and UG students. The event, which took place on 4th January, 2017 at old building, aimed at promoting scientific activities and presentation skills of PG students.
