Call for the young writer award (Association Prix du Jeune Ecrivain)

The young writer association in France launches the 35th competition for literary for 2019 for youth between the ages of 15 and 27,

 under the auspices of the Secretary General of the International Organization of de la Francophonie (OIF), with the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French Office of Quebec Youth, and the Swiss Foundation for Culture.

Collaborative Awards in Science

Collaborative Awards promote the development of new ideas and speed the pace of discovery. We fund teams of researchers, consisting of independent research groups,

to work together on the most important scientific problems that can only be solved through collaborative efforts.

Who can apply:
Collaborative Awards are for teams of researchers bringing together the relevant expertise and experience to address the most important scientific problems
Each applicant must be essential to the proposed collaborative research and have:
Proven research expertise and experience in their field.
An academic or research post (or equivalent)
A salary for the duration of the award period. If this is not in place, your employing organization must provide a guarantee of salary support for the duration of the award.
Level of funding: Up to £4 million
Duration of funding: Up to 5 years

The areas of research are:
Cell and Developmental Biology - Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience - Cognitive Neuroscience and Mental Health - Genetics, Genomics and Population Research - Immune System in Health and Disease - Molecular Basis of Cell Function - Pathogen Biology and Disease Transmission - Physiology in Health and Disease - Population and Public Health

call for joint Egyptian Japanese scientific cooperation

Within the Framework of the Science and Technology SDTF and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) announce an initiative for increased scientific cooperation between Japan and Egypt that establishes cooperative networks between Egyptian and Japanese scientists and their educational and technological institutions.

The available areas are:
Water
Energy
Food/ agriculture
Health
ICT

Eligibility:
Teams of researchers consisting of at least one Egyptian and one Japanese researcher are eligible for funding.
Teams have to be based at Egyptian and Japanese research organizations and should be working in their home countries.
Egyptian state and private institutions of higher education, research institutions or commercial enterprises including SMEs are eligible for funding.

Funding
STDF will provide funding of up to 85,000 Egyptian Pounds per seminar / workshop to the Egyptian team, and JSPS will provide up to JPY 1,500,000 per seminar/ workshop to the Japanese team. Allowed per diem is $ 250 per day.
Medical insurance should be included in the travel costs.
The sending side will cover international travel expenses between the two countries.
