The international ITER school aims to prepare young scientists for working in the field of nuclear fusion and its application in research subject associated to the ITER project.

Suitable audience:
First of all : Ph.D students and Post-Docs aiming working in the field of magnetically confined fusion.
Secondary : Master students in Physics or Engineering.

There are some grants to cover accommodation for participants from developing countries.

Deadline: 7th March 2017.
(Apply as soon as possible because VISA may take 1 month).

The end ceremony for the second State of the University of Child

Mansoura University is finished on February 11, 2017 the end of the second state for the second year of the scientists'

project for the future (Child University) within the cooperation Protocol between Mansoura University and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
The project aims to develop research skills, the desire for exploration and discovering and supporting the talents under the auspices of Prof. Mohammed El-Knawy - President of Mansoura University and Prof. Ashraf Sweilem - Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. The end of the current state of the project ended with the educational play that was prepared by the students project. Also, they were displaying some national songs. The ceremony presentation was displayed with a video about what has training during this state.

Prof. Asharf Sweilem has been hailed the effort by the project team and the performance of the students. He has wished them a good future.

Dr. Amr Gabr - the project coordinator that Mansoura University, pointed to the university has completed the five stages of training events where the project began in August 2015.

Opening to apply the "Imhotep program" for 2018

The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announces to open the acceptance research proposals among Imhotep program for 2018/2019.

The Egyptian French scientific cooperation program (Imhotep), which is between the Egyptian Ministry of Scientific Research and the French Ministry of Foreign affairs. The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology holds the administrative affairs for the program from the Egyptian side and EGIDE holds the French administrative affairs for the French side. The fields are

1. Agronomy, Animal Production, Plant and Food
2. Biology, Medicine, Health
3.Human Sciences and Humanities
4. Engineering Sciences
5. Science Society
6. Information, Communication and Technologies
7. Physics
8. Earth and Space Sciences
9. Chemistry
10. Mathematics

The deadline for accepting research proposals is 24 April 2017.

Mohammad Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award

The cultural Affairs and Mission Sector declares the Mohammed Bin Rashid Award, an initiative of Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktom Global initiatives.

The applications are stared to receive from December 18, 2016 until January 31, 2017.
The goal of the Arabic award is to advance the development of Arabic language; to facilitate learning and teaching, in addition to strengthening the status of Arabic language and to encourage those who are working in the field.
The award contains 5 different categories which are Education, Technology, Media and Communication, Linguistic Policies and Arabization, and the Knowledge Society. There are 11 different sub-categories under 5 main categories. The winner of sub- categories will be awarded 70,000 dollars.
