ICSLE 2017: International Conference on Smart Learning Environments

The International Conference on Smart Learning Environments (ICSLE 2017) aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers

to discuss issues related to the optimization of learning environments to enhance learning. The focus is on the interplay of pedagogy, technology and their fusion towards the advancement of smart learning environments.

ICSLE is an annual international conference on Smart Learning Environments organized by the International Association of Smart Learning Environments. ICSLE has been held in Hong Kong, China (2014), Sinaia, Romania (2015), and Tunis, Tunisia (2016).

* Proceedings in Springer's Lecture Notes in Educational Technology series.
* Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for Springer's
Smart Learning Environments journal (Open access journal with no author processing charge)

"Daad Language a Cultural Bridge between Nations "Conference

The idea of the conference emerged from the importance of the Arabic Language and its status among the world's languages.

Arabic is a thinking and communication tool that is distinguished by its eloquent words, smooth pronunciation, accuracy of significance and the ability to create and derivation. It is the language of the Holy Quran, thus learning it is essential for worshipers to allow them to recite the Holy Quran and practice worship acts, also to learn about the Islamic and Arabian culture; in order to build bridges of Cultural exchange and constructive dialogue among human civilizations.

The idea of holding this conference came at Amman Arab University campus in cooperation with Reference Academy in order to enhance Daad language under the name of "Daad Language a Cultural Bridge between Nations"

Amman Arab University which teaches Arabic as a Second language for Non-Arabs and Reference academy that is keen on spreading the Arabic language, hope that the conference grabs the attention of researchers and educational institutions through the active participation, researches and studies that are useful for Arabic language teachers for non-native speakers, through constructive conversations and exchanging points of view and experiences at this field.

Training course about "The Fluid NMR and its Applications"

The Nuclear Resonance Magnetic Resonance Unit (NMRU) announces a training course about "The Fluid NMR and its applications"

on 4 to 6 July 2017 under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed El-Kenawy - President of the University and Prof. Ashraf Mohammed Swailam - Vice President for post graduates and researches and Mohammed Mahmoud Abu Al-Zahab - Director of the Unit and Course Rapporteur.

This course aims to identify the NMR device - the theoretical basis - the idea of its work and to identify the applications of nuclear magnetic resonance of the unilateral, bilateral and triangular and identify the various elements and isotopes that can be analyzed using the device. Also, the training course will be allowed to train on prepare the different samples - how to interpret the results - the theoretical calculations of the effective groups in the chemical compounds and their comparison with the actual results - the attempt of the vacuum drawing of the analyzed vehicles - Interpretation of the results and the identification of the structural structure of the analyzed vehicles and how to use the device to identify the purity of the chemicals.

The subscription fee is LE 1250 per participant and 20% is deducted for faculty members and their assistants who belong to Mansoura University. These fees are inclusive of publications only and not including accommodation.

PhD Scholarships from Japan

As part of the Egyptian-Japanese initiative for education, the Cultural Affairs and Missions announces the scholarships for obtaining the PhD degree, joint supervision system and post-doctoral scientific missions from Japan. Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

The Fulbright Commission in Egypt is pleased to announce the annual competition for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program. This one-year Fellowship program is offered to young and mid-career professionals who have a proven track record of leadership, a public service commitment, and the capacity to benefit from a program of independent non-degree study at a leading U.S. university, as well as a wide variety of professional development activities, including conducting independent projects, participating in an internship or a professional affiliation, meetings and consultations with U.S. faculty or experts, field trips, and special seminars. The Humphrey Program was initiated in 1978 to honor the memory and accomplishments of the late Senator and Vice President, Hubert H. Humphrey.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

· Egyptian citizenship; holders of U.S. green cards and/or passports are ineligible
· Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study.
· Five years of full-time professional experience. Applicants should be at a point in their careers to fully benefit from this professional development program. Demonstrated leadership qualities and a record of public service.

· Demonstrated English language ability with a minimum valid Local TOEFL score of 450 is required from AMIDEAST or any of the ETS approved centers (see below list of approved testing centers), or Computer-Based (CBT) score of 133, or Internet-based (IBT) score of 45 or IELTS score of 5. (Important note: Successful candidates whose TOEFL score is less than 525, or Computer-Based (CBT) score less than 195, or Internet-based (IBT) score less than 71 or IELTS score less than 6, will be required to attend 3 - 6 months of Long-Term English Language training in the U.S. prior to the start date of their Humphrey fellowships, if selected for this grant.)
· Limited prior experience in the U.S. (individuals who have resided in the U.S. for more than six months since August 2013 are not eligible to apply).

· Applicants must reside in Egypt starting the application process until the travel date (in case of selection).
· Qualified women are encouraged to apply.
