Financing the research projects in the amount of 2.5 million pounds

Within the framework of Mansoura University to fund the research projects to raise the university's ranking globally, Prof. Ashraf Sweilem, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research,

 on Monday 12/3/2018 in the presence of the deans of the relevant colleges and the chief researchers of the projects signed the contracts of 15 research projects with a total funding of LE. 2522000 from the research fund:

1- Faculty of Medicine has received (8) research projects with a total funding of LE.1237000,

2- Faculty of Pharmacy has received (2) research projects with a total funding of LE. 260000.

3- Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has received (2) research projects with a total funding of LE 350,000

4- Faculty of Science has received (2) research projects with a total of LE. 495000.

5- Faculty of engineering has received (1) research project funded LE. 180000.

Prof. Ashraf Sweilem has congratulated the researchers and wished them further success in scientific research.

Calls for "IMHOTEP" program - 2019

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic

have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for launching a bilateral program for scientific cooperation, named IMHOTEP, with the aim of facilitating, strengthening and developing scientific cooperation between the Egyptian and French researchers working at universities, research centers or institutes in both countries. The program covers bilateral research projects and scientific symposia involving researchers of the two countries in every scientific field.

The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) will be in charge of the administrative part of the program from the Egyptian side, while Campus France will be in charge of the administrative part from the French side. An Egypt-France Joint Board is established to review, assess and make specific recommendations concerning scientific and technological cooperative activities.

Research areas are as follows:

--Water: (sanitation, desalination, irrigation management)

-- Environment: new and renewable energy, Hydrogenise energy cells, batteries of electric cars

-- Biology, Medicine, Health (production of enzymes by biotechnology, advanced diagnostic techniques for diseases (sensors), hepatitis C

--Mathematics and their reaction

--Physics

--Earth and Space Sciences

--Chemistry

--Human Sciences and Humanities

--Science Society (tourism and Education)

--Engineering Sciences (renewable energy)

--Information, Communication and Technologies (multimedia)

--Agronomy, Animal Production, Plant and Food (production of Crops)

The maximum duration of a research project will not exceed two years. Annual progress report must be submitted jointly by the Egyptian and French researchers before the 30th of April 2018.

Admission of 3 researchers from Mansoura University in US grant for 2018

he Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector announces the candidates who are accepting in the first stage of the USAID-funded Higher Education Initiative program on 18/2/2018.

The candidates are selected:

First: Scientific Missions (post-doctoral Fellowship) for 6 months

1- Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Abdul Rahman Al-Naqib - Electronics and Communications Engineering.

2 - Mr. John Fayez Zaki - Computer and Systems Engineering.

Second: Semester training for Maximum 4 months:

1 - Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Amin Abdel Fattah - Public Works Engineering.
