Islamic Development Bank Merit Scholarship Programme is now accepting applications for the academic year 2018-2019.
The Programme was launched in 1413H (1992), named ‘The IDB Merit Scholarship Programme for High Technology’ (MSP).

The objective of the Islamic Development Bank Merit Scholarship Programme is to develop technically qualified human resources in the IDB member countries by providing scholarships to promising and outstanding scholars and researchers to pursue a full-time Ph.D. study and/or Post-doctoral research in most development-related fields.

The concept is to assist the IDB member countries and their institutions in developing high quality human resources to pioneer innovative solutions to address the most crucial areas that they are lacking but crucial for their development in line with the IDB Vision.

Eligible applicants are required to complete the application form, available online in the website

The applications must be submitted through the nominating institutions to the Office of the IsDB Governor for the country. It is the Office of the IsDB Governor that will forward the applications to IsDB and not the individual applicants or the nominating institutions.

As for Egypt, applications should be forwarded through the Higher Universities Council, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, instead of Office of the IsDB Governor.
