WHAT IS QUALITY SYSTEM?

Quality Assurance can be expressed as: a way to ensure that the academic standards, derived from the mission of Faculty, has been recognized and applicable in line with the corresponding quality criteria, from both global and regional perspectives; and make sure that the standard of quality in learning opportunities, research and community involvements have been met by the expectations of various intended users

WHEN IS QUALITY AND ACCREDITATION SYSTEM ESTABLISHED?

The structure and by-laws of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) is officially established by Government Ordinances No. 82/2006 & 25/2007 issued by President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak. Of NAQAAE special assignments are formulating policy to ensure quality of education and taking measurements necessary to adoption of educational institutions in Egypt. The Authority creates a design and makes the National And Record Standards (NAAS) for each sector. These standards are necessary for the evaluation and accreditation using all of the representatives of ultimate recipients and various social-related parts in addition to the international experiences in this regard. This open system works in Faculty of Dentistry since the foundation of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.

Attention, care and diligence to the primary beneficiary, student, to achieve high levels of satisfaction by meeting his needs, desires and expectations.
Leadership and faculty governance-oriented thinking, strategic planning, objectivity, transparency and justice.
Democratic management style which depends on the effective participation of all shared interest parts, on the usage the authorization and empowerment in decision-making powers and criticism.
Complete independence including respect for educational institutions and responsibility in the management of its academic and administrative operations and activities.
Commitment/not abandonment to the responsibilities and duties determined by the roles of the educational institutions or individuals.
Continuing education, by the educational institution, which based on taking advantage of accumulated experience and accepting new ideas and openness to the world.
Mutual benefits among all parties involved in the educational institution of students, faculty members and their assistants, employees and community-based parties.
Attention to feedback, ensuring the collection of information and documentation, understanding the reactions and using them to improve and develop the institutional system output.
 

WHAT DAMAGE TO THE FACULTY COULD BE IN CASE OF FAILING THIS SYSTEM?


In case the institutions either didn't satisfy accreditation standards or didn't show ability to meet those standards, accreditation will not be given to these institutions and they will be lifted to the competent Minister including a report from the Authority of the criteria, indicators and elements that have not been applied, of the level of disability and what should be done by the institution in order to receive credit.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF FALSE QUESTIONNAIRES ON THE UNIT'S WORK?

it will , of course, lead to inaccuracy in data and improper analysis for the elaboration of the Faculty.


DOES THE QUALITY SYSTEM HAVE A REAL IMPACT ON THE STUDENT OR IT IS A PUPPET REGIME?


Quality system aims to make sure that the student has gained the sound practical, cognitive and behavioral skills to work in field of dentistry and labor market. These skills can be divided, at least, according to national standards which had its own superiority, giving more weight to graduate certificates.

WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATUS OF QUALITY AND THE EXPECTED CHANGE IN FUTURE?

There is no enough awareness of quality culture so far, but it is expected to progress in activating its systems and policies. This can be only done through the effective and positive participation among the various parties inside the Faculty where all the responsibilities are being shared to see our faculty builds up a well-deserved reputation.
