On March 25, 2017, the First Conference of Student Initiatives in Egyptian Universities was held, organized by Mansoura University in cooperation with the Association for Egypt, under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The conference was attended by 30 initiatives from 16 Egyptian universities: Cairo, Alexandria, Al Azhar, Banha, Ain Shams, Fayoum, Damietta, Menia, Helwan, Suez Canal, Sohag.
The fields of initiatives include health and environment, economics, culture and arts, social space, women and children, education, political and human rights, sports, media and networking, engineering and technology, Arab and African cooperation.
Prof. Mohamed El-Desouki pointed out the importance of holding this conference, which shows the spirit of competitiveness among students from different Egyptian universities through initiatives that are in the interest of promoting the country. Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset welcomed the students of the Egyptian universities to the University of Mansoura University, stressing that the university administration will work to carry out its responsibilities towards better education and provide the opportunity for creative young people in all fields and to highlight the positive part of our students.
