Prof. Mohamed El-Kenawy, President of Mansoura University and Dr. Ahmed Shaarawy, Governor of Dakahlia, honored 65 scientists and researchers at the 10th Science Day celebration.

The celebration was organized by the University of Mansoura to motivate the scientists and researchers and to provide the highest level of performance to raise the university's ranking among international universities.In the presence of Prof. Ashraf Mohamed Sweilem, Vice President for post-graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Ahmed Gamal El Din, former Minister of Education, Prof. Hilaly El-Sherbini, former Minister of Education and Students, Prof. Amin Hamza, President of the former Mansoura University, Prof. Farah Al-Shennawi, former Vice President of the University, and a number of deans and faculty members.

During the celebration, the scientists and researchers are honored who have awarded in incentives for publication 2016, university awards, scientific excellence, best PhD thesis, best master's thesis, and awards from outside.Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Ghoneim is selected for receiving the University Award for the highest citation at Mansoura University, Prof. Farah Al-Shennawi, Director of the Cord Blood Stem Cell Research Center, Vice-President of the University of Post-graduate Studies and Professor of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, for obtaining the Order of a great officer from the French Embassy and the honor of the President of the Republic, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Rahman Al-Wakil, Professor at Department of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture, received the first degree Order of Merit, Prof. Hussein Ibrahim Ibrahim Al-Sabbagh, received the State Medal for Science and Arts

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali El-Assemy, Professor at Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, for obtaining the first class honors, Prof. Samir Hamouda Atwa Sakr, Professor of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, for obtaining the first class honors.

Prof. Mohammed Abdul-Hafez Al-Far, Professor of the Biochemistry Department of the Faculty of Science, and is also chosen as "The Character of Year" of Mansoura University for publishing many researches in the field of early detection of cancer as well as the leading application in laser photodynamic therapy for cancers, and Dr. Hisham Aliwa Salam - Department of Geology - Faculty of Science for the Global Discovery of Dinosaur (MansouraSouras)
