It’s my honor to invite you to participate in our Section’s annual meeting that will be held this year in Mansoura at Mansoura University Hotel (Ramada), as a collaboration meeting with the 3rd Mansoura International Dental Congress (MIDC3) in the period between 30th October - 1st November 2019. Egyptian Association for Dental Research (EADR); is a non-profit organization which is a Section of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) following its constitution and bylaws. It was established to promote research in all aspects of oral and related sciences, to encourage development of improved methods for the prevention and treatment of oral and dental diseases, to improve the oral health of the public through research, and to facilitate cooperation among investigators and the communication of research findings and their implications throughout the world. Participants in the Egyptian Section meeting will benefit from inclusion of their abstracts presented at the conference on the IADR electronic abstract database which is accessible for all the IADR members worldwide. Moreover, all presenters will be given a certificate of appreciation for joining our Section’s meeting signed from the president of the Egyptian Section of IADR.

Terms and Rules:

All topics to be presented in the Section’s meeting should be research based and not published before, which may be a good opportunity for postgraduate students to present their Master or PhD thesis. There will be an oral session and poster session and you will have to choose the mode of presentation of your abstract on registration.

Unilever Hatton Award Competition:

It is my pleasure to announce about selecting Unilever Hatton competitor, to compete with competitors all over the world in the next IADR meeting which will be held in Washington DC, USA in March 18-21, 2020.
The IADR Unilever Hatton Competition and Awards is designed to provide an opportunity for the best junior investigators from all IADR Divisions and Sections to present their researches at the annual IADR General Session. Of these international competitors, up to six (6) may receive monetary prizes and commemorative plaques in the junior and senior categories.
The winner will receive ticket, hotel accommodations for four nights, and IADR meeting registration fees, as well as monetary prizes awarded to 6 winners of the competition.

Abstract Submission:

The abstract submission site for the 2019 Egyptian Section meeting is now available. All abstract submitters, member and non-member, will access the site through the Members Only section of the IADR web site. If you are not a member, you will need to create an account in order to submit an abstract for presentation consideration. Abstract submitters can quickly get to this log in by hovering over the Meetings header at www.iadr.org and selecting Division/Section Meeting Abstract Submission from the menu. Or from http://www.iadr.org/iadr/meetings/future-meetings a submitter can click on the Division/Section Meeting Abstract Submission to be directed to the log in page.

You will find the link for the 2019 Egyptian Section meeting under the header Division/Section Meetings-Abstracts Submission. Click to be redirected to the ScholarOne Abstracts platform.

Oral Presentation:

• Kindly prepare your presentation to be completed within your time allotted.
• All presentations should be uploaded to the presentation computers and checked the day before the presentation.
• Please prepare your presentation USB drives with a CD Rom backup.
• Please refer to the Program Book for actual presentation times. You are kindly requested to be at the meeting room at least 15 minutes before the session starts.

Audio/Visual Needs:

•     Each meeting room comes equipped with a computer, LCD projector and screen.
•     PowerPoint is the standard presentation format.
•     Computers in the meetings rooms are provided to Window-based PC Users.
•     Please know that Slide Projectors are unable to be provided.

Poster Presentation:

A. Poster Printout:

•   Poster size is 90cm wide x 120cm high.

•   Kindly bring a vertical stand to the poster presentation.

B. Guidelines:

• The presentation must cover the same material as the accepted paper.
• Place paper Title and Authors’ names prominently at the top of the poster to allow viewers to identify your paper easily.
• The text and illustrations should be readable from at least two meters away.
• Posters should be set up according to the assigned schedule which will be as shown in the Congress Final Program. Poster boards, tacks, adhesives and materials will be provided for setting up your posters.
• If you have special needs for your poster presentation, please bring those supplies with you to the meeting.
